About
Hey, my name's Jake.
Jake Ousley, AMFT
In the last twenty years I've been a songwriter, traveling performing artist, tour manager, sales and marketing professional, and now a counselor.
I've experienced firsthand how trauma impacts not only the body, but also a marriage, friendships, and a relationship with God. My own story has taught me about grief, resilience, and hope — and more importantly, it's given me a passion for walking with others who are navigating grief, loss, and transition.
If you're a researcher and have already googled some counseling terminology, you'll find that I'm person-centered, emotionally focused, and narrative-based. Said more simply, my goal is to create a safe space where you can connect with yourself, know your story, and find the strength and resilience you need to keep going.

Over the years, I've found myself drawn to walking alongside people in a handful of particular places — folks navigating creative careers, leaders carrying the weight of burnout and stress, couples preparing for marriage or working through it together, and anyone wrestling with grief and loss, relationship issues, spiritual questions, or the slow work of learning to live more authentically.
If you need to recover and re-build, my space is open to you.

Keep going,
Jake
